Smart Energy Storage Conference

On 23 November 2016, the Smart Energy Storage Conference organized by the Hong Kong Science and Technology Park Corporation (HKSTP) and Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) was held at the Charles K.Kao Auditorium Pre-function Hall in the Hong Kong Science Park. The conference was aimed to explore the different technologies of energy storage system and their applications with the growing use of renewable energy. The Head of Electronics Cluste of the Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation, Dr HL Yiu, officiated the conference. Speakers including the Associate Professor of City University of Hong Kong, Dr Ricky Lau Wing-hong, the Professor of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Dr. Eric Cheng Ka-wai, Nano and Advanced Materials Insitute Limited, Dr Yeming Xu and the Project Management Director of CLP Power Corporation Limited, Mr Graham Holland, shared their knowledge and experience about the opportunities and application of smart energy storage.

One of the major highlights in the Smart Energy Storage Conference was “One-on-one Business Matching”. This session targeted to provide an exchange platform for the local and overseas experts to nurture future collaborations with the business entities. The participating local and overseas experts included Lithium balance A/S, GP Batteries International Limited, Ampd Energy and experts from The University of New South Wales (UNSW). ISL is honoured to participate as one of the business matching partners. Through the exchange, ISL interchanges inspiration on smart energy storage and other innovative technologies with the overseas experts. ISL looks forward to having more opportunities to collaborate with the experts.
